Q.1. Bhagavan, many of our devotees have a question from the benediction of teachings that you and Amma have given on the awakened one/unawakened one from the webcast Darshan. One of these says:"The awakened one makes use of his conditioning whereas the unawakened one is made use of by his conditioning" What does this mean, Bhagavan?
A.1. Yes! In the case of both the awakened and the unawakened, the mind will be there. In the awakened one, say if he has to do some engineering work. He will have some engineering knowledge which he will make use of to do that work.However the unawakened one, is constantly made use of by knowledge. That is why you can observe them talk incessantly, they cannot stay silent - because they are made use of by the knowledge.
Q.2.Thank you, Bhagavan. Another webcast teaching that our devotees have a question on is"The awakened one responds from the heart whereas the unawakened one reacts from the head"
A.2. See, for example, when an awakened person sees an old beggar on the road, on some days he may feel moved and help. On other days, he may say "all is fine" and do nothing. In either case there is no thinking involved. He does not think about it. On the other hand, it IS possible to think about it! The unawakened one may think "he's lazy", "he is being punished by god", "it is his karma" etc. But when you are awakened, there is no thinking involved. Only the awakened know what that is like. However, till you are awakened, all actions are from the head/intellect.
Q.3. Bhagavan, we have heard you speak about the 100 steps/levels of awakenening. Could you please explain what they are.
A.3. There are 100 levels of awakening. Awakening is like a 100 story building. Whether you are on the first floor or on the 100th floor, you are awakened. However there are differences in them. On level 69, for example, your mind will be there with all its contents but you will not be moved by it. However, from level 70 onwards, the mind itself is not there. Till level 69, we call you awakened, Level 70 onwards, we call you enlightened.There are differences between levels too - for example, for an enlightened person looking at a tree at level 22 looking at a tree the leaves would be a more intense green than one looking at it from level 21. Only when you reach there, you will know that. As you keep attending the processes, and helping others in awakening, you would grow from level to level.
Q.4. Many of our Sevaks here are unawakened. They have a question as to what it is that is preventing them from getting awakened, and also whether there is anything specific that they need to do in order to make it?
A.4. Don't worry. By the end of 2012, 95% of oneness followers will be awakened. The remaining 5% will make it by the April 2013. Help others in their awakening, then you would grow very fast.
Q.5. Many of our devotees have a question - what will happen on Dec 21st, 2012?
A.5. (Bhagavan smiles) Nothing will happen. It will be a normal day.If you read the newspaper in the morning, or go for a walk, or have coffee, you would do that. (Crowd laughs) Most of humanity will have a slight shift in consciousness. Some may feel it, others may not. A large number of Oneness followers who are as yet unawakened will make it.
Q.6. Will the needs of the mind continue to exist after enlightenment?
A.6. Most oneness followers will be awakened by the end of 2012. But the contents of the mind will there with its momentum. Gradually it will lose its power. By the end of March 2013, the needs will not be there.
Q.7.What is the importance of attending the courses in 2013?
A.7. Along with the old courses, we will be starting new courses in 2013. These courses will be only for Muktas. They are meant to get you beyond level 50. Most of you (awakened) are at levels 8, 15, 16, 20 like that.. Ramana Maharishi was at level 95.These courses are designed to get you at least to level 50. From 2013 onwards the focus of the courses will be God realization.
Q.8. Bhagavan, how do we increase our levels of consciousness?
A.8. You must contemplate on the weekly webcast teachings. We are giving you teachings which are very very special. Nowhere else you will find such teachings. If you think they are just like other teachings you have missed the point. Oneness teachings are very very unique. For example, in Christianity the teaching is "Love others" In Oneness, there is only one teaching - that is "Love yourself".You have got to love yourself. If you love yourself, you love everybody isn't it. As another example, if you have a lot of jealousy, most teachings would say "Be free of jealousy" Oneness says: "Jealousy? Good! Welcome!" Stay with the truth.
Q.9. Many of us Sevaks have been doing Seva for the past years under the guidance of Amma Bhagavan, and now we have become awakened by the grace of Amma Bhagavan have now become awakened. Do we continue to Seva now as well?
A.9. That is up to you. Seva is the fastest way to grow. It is a wonderful weapon. Even for the smallest of Seva, the rewards are very very great. If you are awakened the rewards are even greater. It is the easiest way to earn good karma. So it is up to you. If you want to grow, you can do Seva. (Smiling) Otherwise, you could just sit back and relax.
Q.10.Thank you Bhagavan. Lastly, Bhagavan, many of our devotees have a question - how to grow in their bond with Amma Bhagavan?
A.10. If you help others in their awakening you would become very very close to Amma Bhagavan.
